It takes Garra, Portuguese for persevere, to build a theatre company; it takes a mighty cause to nourish and sustain it – to consistently produce programming of the highest-quality production value; to attract the best talent and pay them respectable wages.
We are ending our 2024 seasonal fundraising campaign and Live Garra Theatre needs your help to continue our artistic work. We are asking for your financial support by providing a donation to help Live Garra reach its year-end fund raising goal of $25,000 by December 31st, 2024. Your tax deductible contribution of any amount your budget permits, will help us continue to produce empowering works such as "A Thirst for Freedom," "The Window King: A Brooklyn Village Songbook," "Dry Bones," "No Exit," and "Talking To America: One Dream at a Time," an original work that brought storytellers from many countries together as Americans --"from many peoples strengths.”
