To this end, the Theatre Consortium of Silver Spring and Silver Spring Black Box is currently requiring the following from all staff, artists, guests, resident companies, rental companies, audiences, etc:
- Proper mask usage by everyone in the facility, which means a full seal over both nose and mouth, unless that individual is actively performing, actively eating, or actively drinking. Actively eating or drinking means that the individual has lowered their mask for long enough to expediently consume their food or beverage, and that they have recovered their nose and mouth before talking, during any breaks in consuming their food or beverages, etc. If you do not arrive with a mask, one will be provided to you. Failure to comply with this mask policy may result in your removal from the building.
- Proof of full vaccination for everyone entering the building for more than 10 minutes in total. Failure to provide proof of vaccination will result in denial of entry into the building. Proof of full vaccination is defined by the Theatre Consortium of Silver Spring as the following:
- Your physical vaccination card showing that you are more than 2 weeks following your final dose of your respective vaccination (minimum of 2 shots for Moderna/Pfizer, 1 shot for Johnson & Johnson), PLUS THE BOOSTER SHOT IF ELIGIBLE. The Theatre Consortium considers “full vaccination” to mean that an individual is as vaccinated as they are eligible to be based on the timelines of their previous vaccinations (5+ months following their 2nd shot of Pfizer or Moderna, 2+ months following their single Johnson & Johnson shot.)
OR - Photo of your vaccination card showing the same
AND - A photo ID with the matching name as the vaccination card
- Those who cannot get vaccinated due to certain medical conditions or age (such as children under vaccination age) may instead present a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 48 hours of the performance/event start time.
- Those who have been vaccinated (2 doses of Pfizer or Moderna, or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson) but cannot yet receive the booster shot due to a breakthrough COVID case, must present a CDC-compliant “documentation of recovery” certificate, in addition to their proof of initial vaccination doses.
- Those who have been vaccinated (2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of J&J) but cannot yet receive the booster shot due to still being within the window of time following their previous dose, will be considered fully vaccinated.
- For more information on who is eligible to receive a booster shot, and when, please visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/booster-shot.html
